The First Jordanian Tourism and Hospitality Conference 2012 4 - 7 November 2012 Please email your Proposal: (Title, Author(s), Affiliations, eMail address, 250 to 300 words abstract, brief bibliography) to: fthm@yu.edu.jo Deadlines: Abstract/ Proposal Due Date: June 14, 2012 In the light of the increasingly challenging and competitive environment in the global tourism business and the fast growing contribution of tourism industry to the socio-economic development in the Kingdom, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management (FTHM) at Yarmouk University (YU) is organizing the 1st Jordanian conference in tourism and hospitality in Irbid , Jordan from the 4th to 7th November 2012. The mission of this conference is to provide opportunities for collaboration between professionals, researchers, practitioners, and graduate students from various disciplines. We are interested in submissions that are both conceptual and empirical research papers, abstracts, student papers and proposals, case studies and work reports in the tourism and hospitality. Please note: Submissions are limited to one per individual. The conference will have uncovered the main aspects of leading destinations and tourism business organizations on the local , regional , and international levels that may be adopted to accelerate growth in the industry. The conference will also shed light on the innovative product development and marketing strategies for tourism, the role of all operators and stakeholders, and how to maximize their mutual potential benefits. Objectives The main objectives of this conference are to analyze the challenges facing tourist destinations and organizations, and to share experiences on the best practices and success stories in the tourism business. Registration Form Submission Guidelines Abstract: not exceeding 300 words , Times New Roman, 14 Research papers: complete papers (5000 words max.) with full citation. All submitted papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, and scholarly contribution. Paper Publication Papers will be peer reviewed. To be included in the conference proceeding, all review comments and suggestions must be addressed in the final submission due on or before September 05, 2012 and submitted via email in MS Word, APA citation format. Once completed, please email your final submission to: fthm@yu.edu.jo Please note: Submitted papers must not have been previously published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere. Proceedings: Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings (if at least one author is registered to present the paper). Proceedings will be distributed to all registered conference attendees during the time of the conference. Please note: Admission to Conference is exclusively limited to pre-paid registration.
